Norðanbál ​a Collective Vision

Beyond my work as a composer and musician, I'm deeply involved in the arts, cultural initiatives, and creative residencies.
I have a passion for multidisciplinary artistic expression that extends into visual art, festival management, and fostering creative communities. 

Hallgrímskirkja, Saurbær, Hvalfjörður

I started a ​concert series during the  the summer of 2019 at the church Hallgrímskirkja, just outside of Reykjavík. This is part of helping the church to stay alive and in keeping this vital and historical place open for people who like to visit. 

Norðanbál a Collective vision


 I am  an active member of Norðanbál, a collective of five artists known for creating large-scale art installations across Iceland.​ Our work merges various artistic disciplines, including music, visual art, sculpture, and environmental design, often integrating Iceland’s natural landscapes into their creations. 

Concerts in Hallgrímskirkja, Sa​urbær, Hvalfjörður

The church Hallgrímskirkja is just outside of Reykjavík and the concert series has been ev​ery summer since 2019.
These are concerts with various artists with multiple genre of music. There is a music committee that chooses musicians from all around the world to play there. The place is vital in Icelandic culture and history and the concerts are part of protecting this historical place.

Old School Art Residency

In addition to their large-scale works, Norðanbál plays a key role in managing Old School Residency, an artist retreat in Iceland that provides creatives from around the world with space to develop projects in a peaceful, inspiring environment. The residency welcomes musicians, visual artists, and interdisciplinary creators to collaborate and explore new artistic possibilities.
